Direct Support Professional
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work with people experiencing disabilities to support them in fulfilling everyday activities. A DSP provides supports both at home and in the community, and they promote individual choice, independence and interdependence, and inclusion in the community. DSPs help foster meaningful relationships of our customers’ choosing and achievement of their dreams and goals.
Some of the position’s duties include supporting customers with maintaining hygiene, preparing food, assisting with medications and treatments, and accurately documenting customer health and wellness.
Positions are available in Salem, West Salem, Keizer, Silverton, Dallas, and Monmouth. Starts at $16.25 to $18.25/hour depending on experience, education, certification, and SOI DSP position. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Locations
Marion County
There are four programs in Marion County. DSPs can expect to provide services for a handful of people living in a 24-hour residential setting. There are two homes in Salem, one in Keizer, and one in Silverton.
Polk County
There are six programs in Polk County. A DSP will provide supports to a few people living in a 24-hour residential setting. There are three homes in Dallas, one in Monmouth, and two in West Salem.
Supported Living
DSPs can provide supports to people living on their own and outside of Sunny Oaks homes. A DSP working in Supported Living will be providing care within an individual’s own living situation. Supported Living services are offered in both Marion and Polk Counties.
